Our Story

We are dedicated to providing an exceptional selection of artisanal wax melts Boring candles walk the plank.

Kernow Wax was born the morning I woke up and thought, “I’m going to make pirate wax melts.” Not in a “destined from childhood” way. Not in a “found my calling under the full moon” way. Just in a “this will be hilarious and fun, let’s go” way.

And it turns out there are people like you who get that.

We make scented things for people who secretly want their home to smell like a pirate with great hygiene… for people who like dry wit, folklore, Cornwall (yes - the country you heathens), and a bit of mischief with their ambience. If you roll your eyes at words like luxury and aesthetic, congratulations - you’re already crew.

If a National Trust guide, a pirate, and a sarcastic archaeologist walked into a bar and ordered a gin…that’s basically us. Dry humour + worldbuilding + a wink.

Who’s Steering the Ship

I’m Elaine - shy, witty, history-obsessed and sustained largely by gin (because: children), coffee, and the chaos of life. My kids are wonderful, feral creatures who’ve driven me to perfect the gin-to-tonic ratio. They also help with scent testing, usually by declaring which ones smell like biscuits or “smell like the car”. If a label appears wonky – blame them.

Everything is hand-crafted by me with equal parts care, chaos, and questionable sanity.

Cornwall Is Our Backbone

Not the cliché, postcard Cornwall. The real one - where folklore feels alive, the sea air could beat you in a fight, and every stone circle has a story. That’s the Cornwall we bottle (or… tin) into every product.
